More activity ideas for kids camping trips

Thank goodness the companies keep coming up with ideas for keeping kids occupied on camping trips, although a recent camping trip river found adults trying to muscle out children to play a game that I had never seen before. Called Tailgate Toss, this simply constructed element involves two large tables, wooden legs on one end that hold up each edge at an angle. Teams split into two groups – two to four people usually play – and each side then throw beanbags into the hole in each tab. The scoring initially seem complicated, as it is more complex than regular old bean bag toss, which is what this looks like, but in the end you get the hang of it.

Tailgate Toss, or "Corn Hole" is a big hit with all ages. Some of the people in our group knew this game as "Corn Hole" – apparently it depends on what part of the country you call home, but that the result was a highly contested battle that got so involved, we have blocked the torch under the holes and played well in the hours of dusk. You can get the tailgate Toss with the insignia of your favorite sports teams or simply wood. For ages 5 + talking about being on the River, whenever there is water involved, stuff is going to get wet. We found a laminated version of the ever-popular card game Uno, called A H2O to Go, which works just like the original game, except that each card is plastic coated and has a hole in it so that the bridge can be fixed with a plastic hook that easily clip to pants pockets or inside a purse or backpack. This means that you can take the cards long excursions on foot, by car or anywhere that having something to occupy the group will be practical. For ages 7 + Download here: Target, REI an ideal car or RV is a game of Blokus to Go, a game of strategy that is fierce in his larger version and a lot of fun in the smaller one. The pieces of the snap-in place, with the basic idea is to get all your tile on the Board, while tapping another same-colored tiles only at the corners. Gets a little mad, but in a good way. What is also cool about the travel version of Blokus is that if you don't finish – or, say, must make a pit or a picnic stop – you can just close the sides and hold your place. Young guys take the concept very quickly. For ages 5 + roadtripster is the handle of a long-standing ammirareun who travels the country with every means possible, sometimes in a campervan, sometimes car camping or in the backcountry, with children and without.
